Waterhall Country House no longer operates a transfer bus service. As a replacement we have partnered with local taxi firm, United Cars. As a result of this partnership we are able to offer you the following fantastic service:

A 24hr, On Demand, Two-Way Transfer Service

You need no longer wait for our sheduled bus service. Taxis are booked to arrive at the exact time you specify. Our reception staff take care of the booking for you, there is nothing for you to worry about. United Cars has well over 100 cars servicing the local area and are well postioned to be where you want them, when you want them.

Direct Transfers To and From Gatwick Airport

Your taxi is exactly that, yours. Therefore it will take the most direct route between the airport and Waterhall Country House. You will not have to wait whilst guests are dropped off at other hotels. This often happens with bus services as hotels attempt to spread the huge cost of the service by sharing it with other establishments in the area.

United Cars offer us exclusive prices for taxi journeys to and from Gatwick Airport. These have been fixed at 2007 prices for the forseeable future and represent outstanding value for money.

NOTE: Taxis booked through us are much cheaper than paying the driver directly!

Car Tracking

Using our direct link to United Cars' our receptionists can track your cars movements via GPS. This means that we can check your car is enroute and see precisely when it will arrive to collect you.

Both Journeys Booked on Your Behalf

Our reception staff will enquire about your prefered taxi time on check-in. They will also ask for your return flight number. They will then book your taxi both ways on your behalf. There is nothing for you to worry about.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:	Why have you replaced the courtesy bus service with a paid taxi service after all these years?
A:	When the airport authority informed us that their charges for dropping and collecting guests at Gatwick were to increase by 10 times, we knew the service would no longer be financially viable. We continuously review our feedback from guests and one common observation has been that our 45 minute bus schedule didn't lend itself to everyone's preferred departure time. Furthermore, return transfers, whilst on request, could only be dispatched once the guest reached the courtesy phone. This lead to inevitable delays. Having weighed all the options avialable to us, we could quickly see that the taxi option provides our customers with the best possible service and value for money.
Q:	Do I have to leave my car keys with you?
A:	Yes. We ask all our guests to leave their keys. These are securely locked in our safe whilst you are away.
Q:	Will you move my car whilst I am away?
A:	During busy periods we may request that you allow our fully insured drivers to move you car 1.1 miles to our sister hotel, Ifield Court. In doing this we can provide enhanced security and a 24hr car-key return service. If you do not wish your car to be moved offsite you can request this at check-in. We require all guests to grant us permission to move their car(s) within our own grounds. Cars will never be moved offsite without our guests' direct consent (this will be requested upon check-in if applicable). Please note we are unable to accept bookings from anyone not prepared to leave their keys with us and, in accordance with our terms and conditions, you may be subject to an additional charge if you fail to hand in your car keys prior to your departure.
Q:	Can I book just the parking without staying?
A:	No. Holiday parking is only available to people staying at least one night at the hotel. Parking spaces are strictly limited to one car per room.
